How to Get Started

You do not need to be in the Central Florida Area to have a Precious Portrait created. Portraits are created from your favorite photos.

If location allows, I prefer to meet with you and your pet, so I can experience their mannerisms and characteristics first hand. Really get to know their personality. If your animal is shy, I will try to distance myself and see how you and your pet interact. This way, I can better portray your friend and not just an animal.

If location prohibits this special meeting, I request that you send as many photos as you can, marking the ones that are your favorites and which ones you feel portray your pet the best. It may be an expression they always seem to have, or maybe their tongue is always hanging out, anything. Then write a VERY detailed description of your pet. Describe their personality, what particular funny habit they may have, tell me what you think is going thru their head when they look at you, anything, everything. In order to depict your friend, I need to know them.

I will email a beginning sketch of the portrait to you to ensure you are pleased with the composition layout, size, etc.

Portraits will be shipped unframed. Frame and matting choices are very objective and dependent on tastes and decor of the display surroundings. If you are in the Orlando area, I do have some recommendations for framers you may want to consider.

Pricing

Prices shown below are estimates for a single animal portrait with a color wash background. The sizes listed are standard frame sizes and should be used a guideline for any size you request. Please remember though that non-standard pieces will increase costs when you have it framed.

Please be aware that the complexity of the portrait will determine actual cost. Such as if a portrait has multiple subjects or if your pet is set in a specific background.
