Otis
10 " x 12 "
Oil Graisai with color glazes

This technique is extremely difficult and long process yet the results are amazing. The painting is first done completely in black and white. When it is finished it will look like a black and white photo.

Then after the painting has dried for a couple months, Elizabeth mixes transparant glazes of color which she then paints over top of the original painting. These color glazes allow the tones and shadows from the black and white painting to show. When light pentrates thru the glazes, the colors, ever so faint in the glaze reflects back to your eye, creating a magnificent illusion of depth!

Isabelle
18" x 24"
Watercolor

Watercolor is by far the medium that Elizabeth prefers. Isabelle only took her three weeks but the results are stunning!

The typical "sitting pretty" pose just did not suit Isabelle. She refuse to hold still for her photo shoot. So, Isabelle is portrayed in her true light, ready to pounce on her next stuffed mouse!

Rocky

Rocky
18" x 24"
Watercolor

Rocky is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever and takes his job as a duck and goose hunter's companion very seriously. In the words of his owner told to Elizabeth by his family, Rocky is "loyal, hard-working ... almost thoughtful. He watches the birds and sees where they land then goes for 'em."

The owner has allowed Elizabeth to disclose, that when he unwrapped his gift, he burst into tears.
